Why You Absolutely Need to Be Strength Training After 50

One of the biggest frustrations and fears I hear from women over 50 is the concern about injury. Many have tried workouts in the past only to end up sidelined by back pain, knee issues, or even the dreaded plantar fasciitis. If you can relate, I want to reassure you: You *can* build strong muscles after 50, even if you’ve struggled before.

Understanding Injury and How to Prevent It

It’s true—exercise can sometimes exacerbate existing dysfunction in our bodies. But does that mean we should avoid exercise altogether? Absolutely not! Instead, we need to teach our bodies how to move more efficiently and stabilize themselves. That’s exactly what I focus on in my 6 Pillars of Wellness Program.

Many women I work with come to me with hip, knee, or ankle problems. Through our sessions, we first enhance their neurological stability, which allows us to build strength on a solid foundation. As a result, the dysfunction and pain often diminish or disappear entirely.
